About Us

About FinanciallyLit

FinanciallyLit was started by a high school student to make financial literacy more accessible for teens preparing for college and life beyond. While many of us are taught basic “money” concepts in school, we rarely learn how to actually manage, invest, or plan our finances for the future. This website aims to change that—by helping students actively engage with personal finance, build saving habits, and understand key financial terms.

All of the courses on this site are created by me, based on outlines from general finance education programs. If you spot any mistakes or think there's something important we should add, feel free to reach out—your feedback helps us grow. We also offer certificates of completion because your efforts deserve recognition!

Student Blogs

The Blogs page is a space for students to take learning into their own hands. It’s where you can research and write about companies, financial events, or products that interest you—then publish your work to help others learn too. Plus, we offer volunteer hours for approved blog submissions! All posts are reviewed by me to ensure they're appropriate and informative before being published.

Competitions

Want to go beyond the classroom? Our Competitions page features opportunities from outside organizations—some even international! These contests are a great way to challenge yourself, build experience, and deepen your interest in finance and business.
